The information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

  3. Custom notes (e.g. “customer wishes to upgrade account”)

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  1. You filled out a form on our website

  2. You registered for a Knock account

  3. You shared information with a member of the Knock Technology team

We use the information that you have given us in order to:

  1. Communicate more effectively with you

  2. Administer Knock services

We only share this information with third parties when absolutely necessary, and only after they have signed a non-disclosure agreement which forbids the use of your data for any purpose other than to work with Knock Technology.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored in a cloud database. We store your name, contact details and any additional notes that help us provide a better service to you for up to 30 years, unless removal is otherwise requested. Our removal process involves automated database deletion and manual checks to ensure all records are permanently erased.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  1. Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

  2. Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

  3. Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

  4. Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  5. Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  6. Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
