Head of Sales
Knock is a new London-based tech startup selling an innovative remote telecoms product. The company has been designing and developing the product since January 2022 and will be launching it across the UK in January 2023. As part of its rapid growth plan, Knock needs somebody to join its core team and start building a world-class sales and client services department.
As head of sales, you will be the company’s first commerce focussed hire. You will be part of the founding team that open the gates to the public and be responsible for building the company’s revenue streams. You’ll need to get your hands dirty at first and sell directly to B2B clients in a consultative style and nurture those accounts into large, stable partners. As the company grows, you will have the opportunity to build your own department the way you see it in collaboration with the executive team.
The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable with the unpredictable nature of building a startup businesses in the first few months and have a good history of experiences in the tech industry. An open-minded attitude with outstanding interpersonal skills and rigorous attention to detail would be very advantageous in this application process. Expect some international travel after year one.
As the product does not go on sale until January, this role will become full time at the beginning of 2023. However, a part-time opportunity may exist in the meantime if pre-launch sales are deemed possible.
Responsibilities
Selling Knock’s video comms SaaS product to the B2B market
Winning, nurturing and growing great client accounts
Helping the executive team with promotional campaign content
Hitting sales targets and collaborating with CFO on projections
Providing thorough, insightful data reports on sales performance
Building a successful commercial department with a friendly, open-minded culture at its core
Qualifications
Experience in the tech industry
10+ years of experience in sales roles
